What is the most under-rated pleasure in your life?

This is a writing (from someone I know who wishes to remain anonymous) in response to this question. Intense and powerful...

""The pleasure of being completely Empty. In the sheer emptiness of movement there is no ambition of any kind to fill up one’s mind, and one can simply relax into the silence of being.

Emptiness is ecstasy.

We do not need to be consuming, producing, moving just because it is daytime and our eyes are open. Let it be day or night, you may allow yourself to lie down and be empty.

Reality won’t stop happening in the most benign of ways just because you have stopped moving.

So let Life initiate your responses and lead your dance. You need not make any first moves because you are only just part of a Whole and can wait your turn to act within a symbiotic system rather than operating like a detached and blind sighted singularity on the move.

When you are not being called upon to respond to the spontaneously occurring promptings of life, then just be still. There is no need to compulsively move, produce or consume.

Life is a symbiotic dance, so wait your turn. Let others take their turns. No one really needs you; Life is a sufficient and proficient benefactor to all.

I do not define happiness or success by how full I am. I do not seek to fill myself up but to empty myself out.

I discover what I truly am, only when I am lean and empty of everything. I discover how benign and organized reality is without any self-important intervention on my part. In emptiness I merge with Life and become conscious of being something more than just a puffed-up fleck of dust.

Emptiness is not empty. It is exceedingly full of that which you cannot know when you are physically full.

The pleasure of being empty is the most underrated pleasure there is in these times!"
