Writing prompt: Does money make you happy

Money doesn't give you happiness but it does give you structure and an ability to plan for the things that make you happy.

I remember being homeless and sitting on a concrete bench outside and watching people go in and out of the McDonald's from a Cross the Street wondering why they do it, I remember seeing an old couple holding hands and walking into McDonald's and I wondered why they chose to sit down on fake plastic benches and eat unhealthy food surrounded by loud strangers when they have their own kitchen with real food and a patio outside. How strange human behavior can be. And then it hit me they are now probably in their 80s but they were young 60 years ago and back then getting fast food at the local burger joint was the best thing around. I guess everyone wants to go back to when they were young.

Money allow me to be happy and give me more opportunities I wouldn’t have without it

@ImRileyTheDog Nothing that I'm interested in is very expensive but it seems like everyone is running around trying to earn money and they don't do anything with their lives. I'll always have enough money to eat and buy books I can just donate plasma for those things but it seems like I can't focus on the future without already having money. Like without a safety net it's hard to be assured enough to make plans. If this makes any sense.
