Shirtless Around Parents

So I would like get some thoughts on this

Whilst growing up, going shirtless as always been a challenge for me for some reason. Unlike other kids, running around shirtless for some reason even though I wanted to do it I jus couldn't. I thought to myself that maybe eventually.

I have been to some relatives houses for stay overs or even visited for the day. My aged cousins, no shirt around the house and even my uncles. The best part was it was absolutely normal whilst it was something that I hesitated to do

At home, my dad hardly ever removed his shirt around the house but the odd time he did sleep without it. So when it was jus my mum and I at home, I wanted to try and see what happens but never got the courage and when I had a t shirt and kept saying it was too hot, I was told to put a vest on.

I guess not being encouraged at home didn't help at all
Even though my dad is now Late (Passed Away) the shyness and lack of confidence still exists

Was this the same for anyone else
Did yourll jus go shirtless and it was fine
Where u encouraged, or needed permission

Would love to hear more

So the point is that men shouldn't be shirtless and women shouldn't be topless?

Whats your opinion on this topic

@SilentKiller I never thought to much about it. Never was an issue. A woman going topless is a heated discussion. I think society puts to much emphasis on it.
I don't see anything wrong with going without a shirt.
A missionary one time was talking about a tribe in I believe south America or maybe central America. They were naked except for a string around their waist. When the missionary had learned to speak with them she asked about the string. The reply was "You wouldn't want us to be naked would you." When they really got dressed up they wore two strings.
There are a lot of things that influence this issue.
Switching from the male to female side. In 2005 we were celebrating our 38 anniversary in the Caribbean. Back in the states my wife would not have been at ease going topless at the beach. But there it was normal and we spent 6 wonderful hours on the beach with her breasts free and nobody cared.
The church has influenced this issue more than anything.
That's another story. Jesus Christ is always pictured with long hair where as history indicates that that would be entirely wrong that he would have had short hair.

My thoughts are that there is nothing wrong with going shirtless or topless. But you need to use some common sense. I don't recommend you do welding without a shirt. That can get painful in a minute.
