Probably wasn't disapproval, just surprise. Maybe jealousy too, about your confidence and carefree-ness about it! In either case, no, you shouldn't care...that is so much a normal place/time to go shirtless! I don't wear a shirt MOST of the time when I shoot hoops outside with my friends, or play tennis or volleyball.

@Rabbit7543 agreed! Playing sports is the most appropriate time, you may have inspired them to be confident and to do it next time. Most of the time if I play pickup sports, one guy goes shirts off and others quickly follow
