I Like to Go Shirtless

How to embrace the shirtless lifestyle?

At first, sorry for my bad English. I’m not living in a country where English is a mother language, additionally, I haven’t used English for writing for so long.

I love being shirtless and I’m on my way to embrace the shirtless lifestyle like you guys on this site.
Reading your experiences has helped me a lot in gaining the confidence to show up my bare chest. Now, I’m totally at eased being shirtless at home, in front of my family and in the gym. In fact, at home you’ll never find me with a shirt on.

But out in public is another story. This summer (from late march), I decided to venture out shirtless. I’ve gone to places shirtless, like pharmacy, hardware stores, and had breakfast at a vegetarian food court all without a safety shirt. I know I will be chicken out, so, each time I go out shirtless, I never bring any shirt near me. However, from time to time, as always, I sweat a lot and don’t act normally, I feel like people is staring at me and making comment on me. I’m still afraid of being caught by people I know, like my classmates, and my teachers. I always feel the urge to put on a shirt, even though the feeling of being shirtless is way so good. I’m nearsighted and I feel like being shirtless when wearing glasses are not matched with each other.

Could you give me many advices on how to get over my fear and embrace the shirtless lifestyle? I need your helps, shirtless warriors. Experiences always help me a lot. Thank you.

You're doing everything right already! Not taking a safety shirt when you venture out shirtless to businesses and restaurants, and going to a gym so you'll have a body you'll be proud to show. Just keep practising and it will come naturally. Where do you live?

I vacationed there some years ago--marvellous country and such open-armed people. However, the guide told us that going shirtless around town was a definite social taboo. But it sounds like you're saying it's acceptable. Can you explain further?

Not a taboo, but being shirtless in central ville is considered inappropriate; but I've seen some worker taking care of trees and flowers on the busiest road of the city.

You can always find shirtless guys everywhere, and anytime, but not in places considered high-class. There are guys riding motobike, delivery guys, workers, vendors and costumers shirtless in the markets or hardware stores.

I once noticed a 40s shirtless man with his son hanging around a CircleK store near my house in a very hot night this year. I once saw a guy entering a game center without even a safety shirt.

I live near an outdoor market. So in early morning (5 or 5:30AM), when I go running around my neighbor, I found more than 80% guys shirtless preparing goods for selling that morning. Some even go without a safety shirt, I find them shirtless from early morning till noon - when the market ends.
