Freedom of speech is more of a duty than a right. If people actually understood that and its implications, a lot of things would drastically change.

Rights protect our ability to speak. Duty asks us to consider the consequences of what we say.

Our word has the power to inform or mislead, to build or divide, to encourage or to wound.

The freedom to speak isn’t just about having a voice. It’s about choosing HOW to use it.

And the consequences of saying nothing about injustice. Much more fundamental today.
