The song is brief, but I could think of no better tribute to the Ukranian Armed Forces than to share this here. The tyrant Vlad Putin continues to try to pummel Ukraine in to powder to fulfill his tyrant's destiny, and I'm sure, what he feels will be his "glorious" (cough, cough) result in bringing the weight of his Soviet forces to bear. What this meglomaniac failed to understand, in fact, what ANY tyrant fails to understand, is the will of people to be free. This fool not only doesn't understand that principle, but he will also never succeed. My heart, as a U.S. Veteran goes out to those Ukranian forces who continue to fight back and decimate the Soviet onslaught. To echo the ethos Marine Corps legend Chesty Puller, he stated unequivocally, "the poor bastards, they have us surrounded."
This piece by Crosby, Stills, and Nash was meant for a different day, but the intent I feel, is appropo.
