I feel that revenge only makes one a bitter person, often bringing out the worst in them.
And sometimes satisfying that hurt ego and taking revenge takes years, and it’s not worth that…coz one has to sacrifice their values, ethics, and conscience to make the other person look bad, and [i]feel successful.[/i] But it’s ne’er worth one’s time.. (selling one’s soul to the devil).
I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense to anyone, but I love what you have to say, Sara.
I was watching Ron Johnson’s interview just now and this was how bad I felt for him….watching him take sides and deny certain facts.

@KiwiBird Theu call them bank holidays because mostly only banks and government employees get them off.
There aren't any holidays that a private employer is mandated to give you of here.
Some of us like me, who work in the private sector get a floating holiday for Federal holidays like MLK. Which means we just get an 8 hour workday credit we can take whenever we want.

@MethDozer That's cool getting an eight hour credit to use when you want...with your employer's blessing I assume. However It does take away the meaning of why the holiday was there in the first place. The public holidays down-under all go by their actual name so at least we know why we are getting the time off. Hours are not usually traded. If you have to work on a public holiday you get holiday pay penalty rates often double time.

This is the key. But more and more people seem to do the opposite; especially in the US and the UK. The media and political classes are responsible for a lot of that and once the majority of people automatically assume bad intentions it tends to be self fulfilling.
We all need to fight back against the assumption that everyone else is out to take advantage of us. It's a long term project but it works.
