My whole life has been an adventure
from moving into my own home and going to work to support myself at 13
getting married at 16
2 kids alone taking off to a large and dangerous city in 1976 I was only 17
losing everything I had an ending up homeless in 1994 and I was disabled
To only having a few things and a car ,moving to the city I live in now ,
to be around my kids that had been taken from me and hid from me for 12 years
Fighting for custody of them and providing a home while the only job I had was washing cars with a bad back and spurs in both shoulders
worried I might not be able to hold up to support myself ,let alone taking on supporting 2 teen daughters ,and helping another go away to college

I have lived with a crippling bone disease for most of my adult life '
that has destroyed 12 discs ,both knees and caused spurs in both shoulders
everyday is an adventure ,it continues ,
I am grateful everyday that I wake up and I am still able to walk ,go to the bathroom by myself and bathe and cook do my own laundry .
For some going around the world is an adventure
some just getting to the bath room before you pee on yourself is
its all really a state of mind .
I know people allowing a stranger in their home is an adventure ,just as terrifying to them as for some to be on a big game hunt in Africa
@rckt148 When you were going through hell, you had the intestinal fortitude to keep on going, and that is a very admirable thing. Much respect brother.

@bijouxbroussard Well dear , like it or not I still have to live it ,
For my families sake I hope I can do like my Dad and press on until the night I kneel to say my last prayer and thats where they find me .
He was on his knees ,finger in the ring of his coffee cup ,and he hadn't spilled a drop ,(I actually finished it though it was cold )
So he went easy and fast I assume .and for me it was a great comfort ,he was praying ,never knew Dad cared about things like that ,but his Bible was out and he was on his knees ,I didn't even cry over his passing

I pray they are not watching me fighting for my last breath or legs kicking in severe pain .
So I take it day by day ,thankful for the loved ones I have ,
good friends that care about me ,I want for nothing ,I would be a fool to complain (though I do have my days ,pain can turn me into an ungrateful cry baby sometimes )
But its my family and people who are so kind to me that keeps me encouraged
So thank you from the bottom of my heart ,you never know when its one of those days ,and it was you that made me remember who I am ,and gave me the strength to keep fighting .
There are some here I wish I could trade bodies with them for just one day
maybe that could change their outlooks on life too LOL
make then just a little more grateful for what they have ..
Always a pleasure Dear ,always ❤
