Serious post: why are people rude for no reason?

I don't understand the misplaced anger/irritation/disrespect/etc.

It's pretty sad, really.

there's almost always a reason. sometimes its difficult to understand, but there's a reason. all too often it's a chain of things that are all petty, dumb, and probably unhelpful. but there's a reason.
