would you move out of your environment?

if you were a city folk would you move to a small town? and if you were a country (small town folk) would you move to the big city?

i know there are varying factors like age, work status etc...just asking in general

i don't think i'll ever move out of the city...it's just who i am...perhaps in my retirement years and things were right i could live summers in a small town.

I intend to. I grew up in the suburbs but I really fell in love with a small north woods town on Lake Superior.

In my 20s, I went to a rural University on the prairie and the closest big box store and restaurant open 24/hrs was a 45 min one way drive. I swore back then I would never want to live more than 5-15 mins from "civilization" but I think my priorities have changed. I like my peace and quiet and darkness at night.
