Do You Hate One Particular Credit Card?

UPDATE 1/23/23-I made a very large payment on my card. AMEX sent me an income verification form which i will NOT be filling out. take that you bastards!

I hate American Express. I have never missed a payment or ever been late. I called in my payment over the phone. Somehow, part of my payment went into the cents portion. For instance, 140.00 went to 100.40. I received a nasty email that i was late on my payment and if I didn't pay it by my payment date, my interest went up to 29.9%.

I got news for you, AM EX, you are next to be paid off.

Decades ago, on a whim and knowing i would not qualify, l applied for an AmEx green card. My dad had one, as well as Carte Blanc and Diners Club.

Surprisingly, one arrived in the mail just weeks before separating out of the US Navy. I was quite pleased that my credit rating was good enough for an AmEx green, later gold, and eventually, a platinum card.

However, after 40+ years of a great experience and relationship with AmEx, they went "woke." Apparently, "Membership Has its Privileges" (tm), had been translated into "Membership has its [White, Cisgendered, RAY-cist (tm), homophobic, transphobic, and xenophobic] Privileges."

Consequently, with great angst, guilt, and penitence, i renounced my AmEx "privileges." And made a good faith effort to let them know that their new, woke business model sucked.

It was a privilege cutting up both cards.
