going through soda withdrawal

my only hydration has been soda with chemical sweeteners and when I ran out I woke up this morning with hangover like effects and a pounding headache all day

Force yourself to drink water.
At first u won’t like it but you will get used to it later and feel better of course

Drink seltzer water as a compromise? I dunno, just a suggestion...don't get mad if you hate my opinion. I used to drink seltzer, because it was cheaper than soda. Stopped drinking both because I'm a cheapskate.
