My Neighbor Called Me Yesterday & Asked Me To Get Her Package For Her Till She Got Home…

It was a reorder of perfumes that had gotten stolen last month. She said that the delivery person had taken a photo and sent to her e-mail showing it arrived but it wasn’t there when she got off work. It was during the week when she was having her roof being redone. And the roofers were there when it got delivered. Some people are really bold to get jobs working on the house and then to take stuff.

I've known one roofer I would trust. But roofing was his summer job. I've know a lot of roofers.

@nonsensiclesnail there were several working on her house. I don’t think a package thief driving behind a car would approach a home with roofers working there. She had another package taken last year and called me and asked me if I had gotten her package for her (she usually texts so I will know) and I told her no. Then she comes over with a melon to give me. And then texted me again asking once again about her package. I felt like she was accusing me and hoping I would give it to her. I don’t know who took it but there were roofers in the neighborhood working on different homes constantly during that period of time because there had been a hail storm.

@nonsensiclesnail the package that got stolen had $500 worth of perfumes in it. An easy sell. And small enough to toss in a truck without neighbors thinking anything of it. I think it’s time for her to get a door cam because she orders a lot of stuff online to be delivered and she is gone quite a bit.
@cherokeepatti We had a new roof put on a rental we were living in a few years ago. They decided they needed in our garage and, shock and surprise, besides leaving all their garbage in there, they took thing. But we were unaware of it for about three weeks when we went to fetch the things they took.
As the only opportunity for them to go missing, and surprisingly, in the same spot they left all their lunch trash and dirty shoes, it was most obviously them, well, one of them.

Our porch had too many steps and turns so no one ever stole packages off the porch. But out of the mailbox? Every chance they got. Im still on the neighborhood email list and its only gotten worse. Theives in that area have become very very brave.

@cherokeepatti It really doesn't matter who took her package. Be a good neighbor, and do as she requested. Have her package for her when she gets home.

@Dv8rs I do that. But she got home about the time the package arrived later in the day.
