Thermal curtains

I just found out about these today... they apparently have a special lining and are made of heavier materials to keep cold out. My windows are really draughty so I'm thinking of getting a pair. Does anyone else have these, are they any good? Do they make a difference in keeping the room warm?

They have limited effect since they open and close all the time. If you want to save energy get the shrink plastic window barriers. They tape to the inside of the window frame and you use a hair dryer to shrink them tight. They work quite well and are not very expensive.
