Thermal curtains

I just found out about these today... they apparently have a special lining and are made of heavier materials to keep cold out. My windows are really draughty so I'm thinking of getting a pair. Does anyone else have these, are they any good? Do they make a difference in keeping the room warm?

I’ve had them before. Had a large “picture window” in my living room of the house I had just rented. I went to Target to see what I could find and found a pair of insulated drapes just the right size and color on clearance for $8, I grabbed those up and they helped a lot in the winter.
