Seems like it doesn't do much good to try to save nor cut back cause they are going to find a way to pounce your wallet no matter what.
OH and don't you just love how they increase stuff but then AFTER you get the bill, they later send a letter saying "Oh BTW we increased our prices". Well no sh*t Sherlock!
EDIT - and you are right, the amount of increase is always more than what they claim the average is.

@Punches They should have put what was written in the letter in with the damn bill on the 2nd page instead of wasting paper, another envelope and paying more postage. I knew the bill would be higher, probably $10 every month if truth is known. Someone who doesn’t have a/c or much beside an ice box & lights might have a $50 bill and have a small increase. I bet they don’t have 2% of their customers with such a low bill.

@cherokeepatti I'm starting to wonder when mine will go up, but right now on any given month my electric bill would be around $70. I have air conditioning only in my bedroom.

@Punches I lived in a 900 square foot house and would only use the small a/c in the bedroom and was satisfied with my bill back then. There was a large a/c in the living room that used a lot of electricity and I only used it if someone came over and that wasn’t often. It drew so much power it made the ceiling light flicker when I turned it on. I spent a lot of time in my bedroom on the weekends after it got hot, would cook in the kitchen with sweat on my face and take my food into the bedroom and eat, read books, watch tv etc.

@cherokeepatti that sounds pretty much how I do things now. I think my house that I stay in is somewhere between 800 and 900 square feet. And 156 of that is my bedroom.

@Punches I wouldn’t mind living in a well designed tiny house to save on bills
