I got a letter the very next day from the electric company, was expecting it to be an apology but nope, just telling me that they raised the rates and that the average bill would only be a little more than $2. Bull crap, every time they say the averages my bill is at least 3 times more than that. And I don’t keep the house ice cold either.

We just got a letter telling us they were tacking on a fuel surcharge of about $6 a month. Our bill was just under $200. June was unusually warm and we were running a window AC 24/7 and a few days there was a second one running 24/7. It's an old house with almost no insulation and normally the AC would be turned on mid day and off at bedtime with a fan running in the window.
