I Got My Last Electric Bill A Few Days Ago & It Was $207, Haven’t Had A Bill This High Since 2011 When We Had A Record-Setting Heat Wave…

I got a letter the very next day from the electric company, was expecting it to be an apology but nope, just telling me that they raised the rates and that the average bill would only be a little more than $2. Bull crap, every time they say the averages my bill is at least 3 times more than that. And I don’t keep the house ice cold either.

@SW-User You are in the winter time now though aren’t you? I have much lower electric bills from late fall-spring. Do you have electric heating in your home?

@cherokeepatti Yes, we have 4 reverse cycle air-cons and a pool running around 7 hours per day. This includes a $1.05 per day to supply the energy

@SW-User You got cheap rates then it seems. How large is your home if you don’t mind saying. Mine is on the smaller side, I think 1385 square feet which doesn’t include the sun room (which is not air conditioned or heated)….
