Could There Be Any Upsides To Supply Line Issues?

I’m thinking there might be a few. If you have any thing to spare such as tools, parts for repair or extra items around the house you don’t use then it’s a good time to offer them for sale and make a little money. You might could find a way to use those items to barter for services or other goods or food too. Might be a way to clear up some storage around the house. People helping one another locally. Also it could help motivate some to start up a factory even a small one. And give anyone who knows how to repair things a little extra work.

@Budwick well I have made a few purchases this week on EBay, finding new things that I couldn’t find in local stores. I located my water filters and got them that way, tired of waiting for the company to get them in. Most people have extra stuff they aren’t going to use for some reason or another and might as well make a little $ and sell it so someone else has some use for it..make two people happy that way.

@cherokeepatti While reading your post, I realized that I have stuff no longer needed that might be in short supply. And yes, making two people happy is way cool!

@Budwick Look at Cuba for an example. They are very resourceful in repairing things that they can’t get imported. Very creative in how they do it too. Repairmen keep busy fixing things. So many times we just toss things in the trash that can be repaired because it costs more to fix than to buy. But if we can’t find them in stores we might have to start reconsidering it. Also keep some junk stuff around to use for spare parts or materials to scavenge.

@Budwick There you go. Might have not been worth your while before but it seems that the time is right to reconsider. Something else I am doing. If I find bolts, screws or nails on a walk we save them. Might be needed to repair or build something, who knows? They are made from metal and the prices are skyrocketing for such things.

@Budwick Also something to consider is that maybe people will learn to help one another with things like this now. Maybe talk to neighbors and put the word out what you need or find out if anyone would like a repair job etc or barter whatever.
