I would buy a really nice guitar and build a home studio so I could make some quality recordings. :) After that, I'd find some charities that I knew were trustworthy and make some substantial donations.

@thepreposterouspanda nice! I also would splurge on a nice guitar. Actually, id likely get two. Id get a high quality acoustic and electric. Maybe a taylor and les paul? Ive never owned either. Plus a couple amps. A quality home studio would be killer too.

Im thinking i wouldnt stop there. Lol. I think music gear would be my new addiction.

@MrNightSky Honestly, with that much money, I would own one of every instrument from every culture that I have ever wanted to sit down and experiment with. AND I would get lessons for each of them. 😂

@thepreposterouspanda now you're talking!!! 😆 im right there with ya!

@MrNightSky I think the first one I'd get would be a dulcimer. :) Or maybe a mandolin since I already know a few chords on it. Kind of like playing an upside-down guitar with four strings. 🤔

@thepreposterouspanda yes! Mandolin! I have one but its ancient. Its barely playable. Its more a souvenir from a trip to Nashville than an actual useful instrument. It was the only thing i could afford at the guitar shop i visited there. 😆 Ive always wanted to buy a more useful mandolin but new ones are soooo expensive!

Im not sure ive ever had the urge to get a dulcimer. They seem so awkward to play.

@MrNightSky I'd love to learn how to play cello too but I've heard they're very awkward as well! My youngest brother took lessons back when he was in college and said the stretching you have to do to hit some of the frets is absurd. 😂
MrNightSky · 41-45, M
@thepreposterouspanda that might be fun! Ive never actually played an instrument that uses a bow. And as for the stretching, i dont have very long fingers so regular old guitar can be a stretch for me at times. Bass guitar is very much a stretch. Arent cellos fretless too? Thats probably really tough as well
