For me, I had to write it all down then leave it alone for a while because that gave me anxiety. Next day I picked one small thing that I could do in a short amount of time then they left it alone then I did another small thing and another.
Once I started feeling better about that I picked a bigger thing that I could break up into chunks. sometimes this looked like me working on some thing for just a couple of minutes here and there without putting any expectation on myself to actually finish it except to work on it a little bit each day.
once I started digging myself out of the hole I figured out a better organization system. I use this app called TickTick to organize my existence and alarms throughout my day to keep me on track.
