One girl said to me, 'You know, when I first met you, I thought you would be an airhead, but you surprised me by being smart.'
And on the opposite side of it. A guy once told me 'I can tell you're smart, because you look smart.' That doesn't sound so bad, but from the context it felt like he was saying. 'You don't have looks but you sure do look smart.'
