I'm a Hippie Girl

Already in my school times I was called hippie girl because I went barefoot, rarely showered and didn't shave me. It wasn't that I decided me to become a hippie, it was always the others who called me that, mostly to tease me. But I quickly realized that this term fits to me. Yes, I was a hippie girl, I'm be it still today. And I'm proud of that.

To be a hippie means for me not to cosplay the 60s/70s, but to be close with our nature, to question all the restrictions and norms of this society and just have your own mind.

While the other girls at my school began getting dolled up and going to parties, I preferred to hike through the woods and enjoy the nature. I never used make-up or wore expensive brand-name clothes. I haven't tried to conform me to the expectations of others, or let myself be forced into social conventions that're pointless and superfluous for me.

I'm just me. A grubby hippie chick, so what?

I admire your fortitude and insight to life. Society makes us conform to certain norms that are over rated in many ways from to much use of cleaning bodies to even using toilets. We do waste loads of water each day. I see you are a beautiful person who embraces the earth and life as one really should.

Take care
