When my parents were in school, teachers were allowed to hit kids and the parents backed them up. By the time my oldest sister went to school, that practice was outlawed. My mom and dad raised four of us , and none of ua were abused.
Now I see things recalling teachers mishandling the kids they are in charge in. One teacher kicked a little seven-year-old in the rear end in public when she didn't get up from in front of a book shelf fast enough. It was on the news and in the paper.
The Mayor needs a caring panel to investigate this - now. Talk is cheap. Working parents can't always come to school. Don't mourn and feel sad, that does nothing. Stop the abuse at its roots.
