I Can't Be Anyone's Everything - No Matter How Much I Wish I Could
It's been a real weird weekend
With peace and chaos intermixed
I took a few walks all by myself
And went to the park with my grandkids
I listened to my daughter cry
And heard the complaints of my ex-wife
I had myself a drink afterward
Made with Rum that's spiced
I did the best with all of it
But the walks were what was best
All of the rest of it
Put my patience to the test

I love my family and though I wish that some of the people were a little more stable and even minded, I accept them all where they're at and I meet them all as myself in the space between the place I am, and the places they choose to be.
I do it without judging but with plenty of untaken advice.
It could be frustrating if I allowed it to frustrate me.
But I don't.
We all make our own choices.
My 3 boys are awesome.
