I Could Be Your Everything - But I’m Not

I feel your sultry longings
And I share in all that angst
But I see you there wishing for the things
That you rail against

I think that you’re conflicted
And you don’t really know what you want
Because all the things you ask for
Are things you once did flaunt

And I find it quite surprising to me
How easily you sway
From the things you have spent time casting
Into your far aways

And hey.., I hear ya…,
As you stand inside your limbo
A place that you created
that so easily you flow into

A place where you’re protected
From the fallout of your wishes
That bring to you a sexy man
Bestowing sexy kisses

And still there I am just watching
As you beg the universe for a man
That can understand you deeply
And will choose you as he stands

I see the way you’re casting off
The kind and subtle graces
Of all the passionate, good guys
That could fill your empty spaces.

~ The Snowdog

But yeah…, make no mistake, Ladies…

Us good guys are definitely feeling ya and we feel ya in the ways you show us what we’re really worth.
We’re out here with our radar guns of love just clocking this shit!

And you can take this as truth, hurt, or disgruntlement.
But honestly, it’s the good guys with real eyes looking at what you comprise, when your truths are really just self-lies designed to keep you exactly where you’re at.

And you can now block me for the things I just said here. I don’t care. I'll consider it fair.

But I’m just a good guy who’s no longer trying to make anyone see clear.
All the things that I am or could be...
And they’re things you say that you hold dear.
But still you’re sitting all alone.
Making perfect the new standard,
And we're just trying to steer clear, My Dear.

I wish everyone the best this world has to offer and only you know your worth and what you can tolerate from all of us insufficient men out here. And hey, don't feel bad..., because we get it. Seriously..., WE GET IT !

We understand all of the paradoxes that exit inside of your fantasy man even if you don't.
And..., we also understand that less than 3% of men on the planet are:
Tall
Dark
Handsome
Emotionally Secure
Emotionally Mature
Never get Mad
Never have bad days that they want to come to you with
Always have shit figured out
Always let you make the final decision even when you pretended not to
And..., have enough extra money to pay for a divorce if shit don't work out.

EVEN IF YOU DON'T

Things is…, really good guys aren’t at "Your Disposal" the way they once were throughout history, and maybe you should think about that?

Or not.
I ain’t looking to argue with anyone or field hateful bile from some lady who’s jaded over the truths that I see.

Yes, I am a man.
I won’t apologize for that.

Ya feel me?

FWIW, in my past I only dated good guys. Bad boys never appealed to me, and I married the nerdy nice guy. Not all women want to be with men who break their hearts.

@ChampagneOnIce
My apologies to you, my friend.

This is meant for others who talk big but act lowly or not at all.

You know me.
I am Love.

I’m having an excellent day by the way no matter what my posts may say…

🙂

@HikingMan Good! I’m glad. :) Enjoy the long weekend!

I feel you on this, really I do. I see it as well.
The endless lists and qualities of what a man should be or expectations of what his behavior should be before I bat an eyelash at him. It's exhausting.

I'm not innocent in the matter but we are all just human. Beautifully so. Perfect is the biggest lie there is.
HikingMan · 56-60, M
@Magenta Sweet Mary, Mother of all that I was taught is Holy..,

(I declare truthfully that all I do is argue with the God I was raised to believe in)

“I'm not innocent in the matter but we are all just human. Beautifully so. Perfect is the biggest lie there is.”

Could you speak a higher truth on this stage we call reality?
I think Not!

You’re a light in my darkness and I thank you for being you.

Truly.
Magenta · F
@HikingMan Hah, your response made me 😄.

My pleasure of course and thank you for being you. I appreciate your realism.
HikingMan · 56-60, M
@Magenta You are more than surprisingly bright in the ways you choose to shine

I’ll just speak for myself, but I’m not asking for my partner to never get mad or have bad days. What I do ask for is someone who can regulate their emotions. That is not asking for too much.

You right though, I do want the final say on a decision 😏
Akimbo75 · 46-50, F
@HikingMan I think the thing is, I’m tired. I’ve spent my life trying to undo what my parents instilled as well. I’m not up for doing it for someone else too. You ask for patience and understanding for something that it’s just not in my purview. I’ve been screamed at enough, and never again. A man who can’t control his emotions won’t get my understanding anymore. I’m tired.
HikingMan · 56-60, M
@Akimbo75 I understand your stance and I do truly feel for what you've experienced.
I am, and do, accept the failure of the men of your past as the impediment to my longing for a loving and healthy relationship.
I am truly sorry for everything that has made you feel the way you feel right now.
I am also fully cognizant that I did not cause that trauma and that I and men like me need to realize that your past trauma exists and is a part of YOUR TRUTH.

I wish you a man like me that understand exactly where you're at.
My reply wasn't meant to be individualistic or deprecating to the female experience in any way shape or form.

It was meant to serve as reminder to those women that look at guys like me and judge me upon their past experiences . Because I (and many others) are not that guy.

I wish that you find ways to

Be well
Live happy
& Keep trying,

Rob

@HikingMan You didn’t cause the trauma. I see you feel that you get blamed for others bad behavior but that is not what I’m talking about.

I just took issue with “never gets mad” on your list. Everyone gets mad. It’s needed sometimes. If, after 50 years of life, you can’t figure out HOW to get mad in a healthy way, it’s not my job to teach you, it’s my job to get the fuck away from you. I’m not adding more mommy duties to my life, thanks!

this isn’t about you of course. I don’t know you lol
