What Things Would You Like To See Make A Comeback?

Watermelons with seeds, they are hard to find these days. Much more flavor than seedless.

Fruit stands and selling produce out of the back of trucks…watermelons, cantaloupe, sweet corn and other such produce.

Large fabric stores with a large variety of reasonably priced fabrics.

Small food stands own by locals who sell a few popular items done right. Fried chicken, burgers, snow cones etc. I think the cities have made it near impossible to operate these now.

I miss video stores and drive in movies. Heck, just movie theaters in general. They all closed around here. I miss LL Bean stores too.

@Musicman too many mosquitoes here to enjoy drive-in movies unless it’s long after mosquito season is over. Pretty sure it’d be that way there in Florida too.

@Musicman We still have theaters. My wife and I take the grandkids every now and then, but I sure could go for a good drive-in move.

@maskedbandit We have a Warren theater here. The boy went with his friends yesterday to see Twister. They had chairs that shook when the tornado neared, and wind that blew with smoke scent and some kind of mist sprayed in the air to simulate rain. They got in for a discount and paid $15. He had fun.

@cherokeepatti That's awesome. I remember when, as a child we would go to the theater with $2.00, get in and pay for our popcorn and drink and still have .25 cents left over. 😅

@maskedbandit 35 cents when I was a kid and not much more for a small drink.

@Musicman Drive-in movies! Went with another couple and their baby in their car: Saw "No love for Johhny" and another film. One of them was restricted. At the entrance booth we had to sign for the baby!

@ffony How long ago was this?
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
@ffony They didn't ID the baby? 🤣
