What Things Would You Like To See Make A Comeback?

Watermelons with seeds, they are hard to find these days. Much more flavor than seedless.

Fruit stands and selling produce out of the back of trucks…watermelons, cantaloupe, sweet corn and other such produce.

Large fabric stores with a large variety of reasonably priced fabrics.

Small food stands own by locals who sell a few popular items done right. Fried chicken, burgers, snow cones etc. I think the cities have made it near impossible to operate these now.

@YMITheWayIM Yeah. I would like to see Windows XP with updates again. There were features on that I really enjoyed using. The sound recorder with the reversing feature was fun.

@YMITheWayIM

free healthcare.

Nothing is ever free. You just want someone else to pay for it

@SW-User That wish was added intentionally as a filter. Free healthcare has never been a thing over this side of the Durand line 😒

@cherokeepatti The most stable version ever. 7 was getting very close but Microsoft can't leave good things alone and keep them maintained. No they have to keep changing taking more control and keep screwing things up even more. I'll never forgive them for that debacle they called Vista.

@YMITheWayIM healthcare without BS would be excellent. It seems like a spiraling epidemic of health care inflation these days in the USA. I heard a lady say her uncle got snake bit by a copperhead snake (venomous) a year ago. He went to the local hospital to the emergency room. They weren’t going to give him snake venom, kept delaying it. It was nearly 24 hours later till they gave it to him. Why? Because it cost $100,000 for the treatment. They didn’t want to get stuck with the cost if the insurance didn’t pay. We can thank Obama Care rules for this. Snake venom was about $10,000-$12,000 per vial less than a decade ago, which seemed like a huge price increase especially since the hospitals want to give multiple vials. So insurance is balking due to this and the price keeps rising. When my uncle got bit in an early 60’s by a rattlesnake he paid the hospital bill with his meager savings, it was about $300 total back then, which seemed reasonable. They didn’t hesitate to give him the anti-venom either because time is of the essence in treatment.

@Gibbon I was told by a medical professional in the late 1970’s that as the population increased their health care coverage the higher the medical costs would rise. Due to the demand and the fact that the hospitals, doctors, pharmacies and other providers could charge and get paid. They will charge whatever and see what the insurance companies will pay and still make an obscene profit. I haven’t tallied my medical costs total for the past year but betcha it’s hitting up close to a million dollars already. I am going to have major surgery in a few weeks with four surgeons and aftercare etc. so it’ll be way over that mark. I want to see how much they charge for the hospital expenses, surgeon fees, anesthesia etc total. It’s overwhelming to think about.
