I Am Upset
I am a bit upset because today was like a normal day, when it should have been Thanksgiving. I didn't even get a "Happy Thanksgiving!" from my family, though I said it to everyone. See normally it is like ...
Early in the morning before the sun rises I would wake up and cook everyone a big breakfast. Then my parents would wake up and they would then wake up my little sister. While eating breakfast we watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV. We would hang out like a family until my older sister, her husband, and her child would come over for diner. Then me, my sisters, and my mom would get everything ready. I would make snack for everyone to eat while we wait for the turkey, my sisters would make sweet treats, and my mom would make drinks for everyone. After that was done w would just chill until the main course is done. Then after dinner we would all get pumpkin pie, or chocolate cake, or root beer floats. Then everyone would help clean up before heading home.
However I woke up this morning and ate alone. I even had to wash the dishes alone. Lunch time came around and everyone just got ready for my sister and her husband, not even stopping to eat the food I worked hard to make. When they did come over no one bothered to talk to me so I sat on my phone playing games. There were no time for snack, treats, or drinks like milkshakes. WE DID NOT EVEN SAY WHAT WE WERE THANKFUL FOR! Today just felt like a normal day and that really pisses me off and hurts a bit. Where did my favorite holiday go??
