Is it valid to ask friends to not make me their bridemaid? :(

I'm sorry if this sounds offensive, but I really don't want to be a bridesmaid to every friend who asks me. I tried it for a bit just to realize it is too much planning. I have a lot of friends from the USA, people I've helped out, and I'm not from there. There is too much money put into international travels, the dress, the planning etc. I really don't want the role, even if I care about the event / them as my friends. I'm not a huge romantically person, and to put it straight, I thought of not having a marriage.

just decline .. ? and then them for the invite? my sister and i were flower girls at people's wedding we didn't even know as kids lol

but international travel is a different story not to mention the gowns .. a lot of them are getting married eh?

@GoFish i had one almost got married, showed up and they gave me a huge goody bag full of stuff. And i have trouble accepting that. Their wedding got cancelled due to unfaithful fiance. So i didnt take the goody bag. Only showed up for the event to hang out. They have financial issues and spent like $50+ of fancy perfumes and stuff.. :(

Then my other friend found a girl through me, and told me "I WANT YOU TO BE MY BRIDESMAID SOMEDAY."

I didnt respond. I just dont want the roleeee. I want my friends to be happy. But i dont wanna be a bridemaid at all.
