I’m surprised to be asked what causes vaginal wetness!

Some people need to get hip to women!

Vaginal wetness is primarily caused by sexual arousal, which increases blood flow to the genitals and triggers glands (Bartholin's glands) to release fluid for lubrication. It is a natural response to stimulation, desire, or intimacy.

Additionally, hormonal changes (higher estrogen) and natural, daily vaginal discharge or ovulation can contribute to increased wetness.

Key Factors That Make a Girl Wet:
When aroused, increased blood flow triggers the release of lubrication from the cervix and Bartholin's glands.

Physical touch, kissing, and other forms of foreplay often lead to higher levels of arousal and increased lubrication.

Estrogen levels increase before ovulation, often resulting in increased, thinner, and more slippery discharge.

A feeling of comfort, trust, and mental attraction to a partner can facilitate the physical response.

A healthy vagina is naturally moist, producing discharge to maintain health.

Important Context:
A person can be wet without feeling mentally aroused, or feel aroused without their body producing lubrication.

Excessive or uniquely textured wetness can sometimes be caused by infections, such as bacterial vaginosis or yeast infections.

Every body is different, and the amount of wetness produced varies greatly from person to person.
