How do I know if I'm some sort of depressed

I'm having one of those hard days at work that forces me to reevaluate my situation in life. I hate my job and I feel like it's been my life for the last 7 years. I'm very competent but that's all I believe I'm capable of achieving.

I'm not sure if things are getting harder or my cracks are beginning to show but it's probably both.

I know plenty of people have it worse than I do, but I'm still feeling hopeless. I hate to be dramatic but it's therapeutic writing this out and to tell someone

Seek advice from a Medical professional if you are feeling depressed in life. Mental Health is extremely important and advice should be given by a professional.
Not from members of Similar worlds, altho some advice can be helpful. Hope you seek help 😀

It's okay to be dramatic. You don't need to compare lives with anyone else's so to have valid experiences.
What other things other than competent would you like to be ?

@caPnAhab of course.. I think you are interesting.. you're usually soft and smooth.
Do you have any hobbies outside of work ?
Or maybe a long hike would be a good idea.

I haven't been on a hike in a while but that would be great. I've always wanted to see the Redwood Forest in California. Somewhere closer would be Red Rock Canyon

Hikes are always worthwhile. Arrange for one.
Red Rock Canyon would be on my list too if I were around there
