Against loneliness, people here will not be able to do much. You need people that are physically present to help you out there.
However, for boredom, you may find a lot of interesting people that ae willing to chat with you, where you can share stories, your likes and dislikes.
Don't be shy to communicate but be selective with whom you communicate because when you scratch the surface, you may not always like what you find. Good luck.
