Is this normal?

I've noticed that my body's response to stress is getting worse with time. Previously when I used to be stressed, I could still sleep for some hours at night and never had continuous heart palpitations. Now since I'm 36, I've noticed that even a small stressful thing keeps me awake ALL night and I only get an hour's sleep in the morning, plus continuous heart palpitations throughout the day and night. How can I control this?

You need to see a therapist. The doctor might put you on medication for the anxiety too. I was starting to become so anxious before I decide to see a therapist. I don’t take medication but control my anxiety with relaxation techniques.
