Would you break the law to save a life?

Lets say someone is holding your friend hostage they want 130,000 USD to free them your friends parents wont help and her boyfriend wont help your the only person that cares. They wont killl her but she will never be let go and the conditions that she is living in are inhumane would you be willing to break a law to save her life?

You are a manger at a big company and you have access to money you could take that money and free her and lose your job but she will be free would you do it? (In this scenario law enforcement cant help you)

I like the way you presented this moral dilemma. It seems like a no-win situation, however, I would be thinking it was not myself that put my friend in that situation, in this scenario. But you better believe I would save her life and I don't think God would be mad at me for saving a life, as life is so precious and I could never let my friend be abused in any way. And then I would take full responsibility when speaking to the police and tell them what happened and I'm sure that I would not be prosecuted under the circumstances, but if I were, then so be it. We need to do the right thing when it comes to another person's life, regardless of consequences even to ourself.

@bushi2020 It's only murder if you get caught, otherwise they just died under mysterious circumstances... 🤔

People who come up with these situations whether for movies or for online fun ..whyyy??

Staaaaaaaap it!!!😠

I will only use my imagination to imagine pretty things. Reality is bad enough. I rather be thinking about what it is like having 5 private jets, being fed grapes by a supermodel and my partner dancing naked for me.

Yes. I've done it. (Not that scenario though).

I always break the law regardless in certain aspects, but when it comes to moral code I usually do the right thing. So I would look at the welfare of a person who is important, the financial gain, and the greater good first long before I look at black letter law
I would free her. And no, I wouldn't get caught. And yes, I can.
Cheat! Change the story ending!

Nope. Life taught me to take care of myself. Why won't law inforcement help? That sounds suspicious. That sounds like a trap, like extortion.
Why won’t law enforcement help? If I steal the money, will the cops not care about that either?

One thing to remember is according to FBI statistics, most hostages are killed once the ransom is paid. Ties up loose ends.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
It's only a crime if you leave evidence, witnesses, and don't hide the bodies well enough... 🤔

I would if the circumstances were just right

I cant explain what that means, but its personal so there.

Depends on if the life is worth saving.
I would most likely call the police.
