I Am Not Where I Wanted to Be At This Age

I'm stuck at a dead end job, and I'm still living in the same overly populated city. Nothing glamorous about it. This isn't where I was envisioning myself to be, but I could be worse off. My circumstances are still mildly better than they were a year before, so I suppose that could be considered progress.

Going into and graduating college always gave me the idea of having a career and a home. Went for I have forgotten how many years now and graduating, single, in an apartment, a job that is not based on what was studied, but it is something. It is also something since nothing was had after getting out.

@Mert5356: Yeah, and the feeling of having nothing accomplished (at least the ones I was going for) is what frustrates me.

I know that 'still living in the same city' feeling. At 16 I was saying 'give me 2 more years and I will be out of here'.... now at 30 I'm in the same town saying 'give me 6 more years and I will be out of here'. Hopefully you have better luck :)

Never give up but try not to fall into the trap of feeling like you haven't gotten anywhere from your efforts. Being employed is also significant and even if it's the same as last year, it still is.

@shaelan: Thank you. Sometimes it's just a little hard for me to think positive haha

Find an opportunity and leave, because at my age it would suck more

@Breadroll: Thanks, I'm trying.
