A World I Was Not Prepared For

I turned 30 not too long ago and i cant help but mourn the world i thought i would be able to participate in as a kid.
There's nothing here that i was looking forward to growing up.

Man is that relatable as hell 🥺
@DancingStarGoddess I'm so tired of this.

America is about done. The whole planet is dying. And no one seems to care as long as the rich get richer.
@hunkalove yep, lived at just the right time for everything to devolve into a brutal dictatorship.

I'm sorry you feel that way 🫂 I hope that someday soon you're able to find something that you're passionate over
Have you watched Terminator? We are on the cusp of that now. The point where man creates an intelligence outside his/her own, and it quickly evolves into something far superior. All the parts are in place, it just needs a heartbeat and off it goes. Taking over the world.
What will it be like when money is meaningless, when oil means nothing, when living is the best we can achieve?
I think we need an alien race to come visit and take over. That would be something to see. Let them eat the rich first.

what would that have been?
@GoFish im not sure. I grew up in the late 90s/early 2000s and i thought life would be like the way it was in like 2013 forever.
Now so much has changed i dont even know how to fully process it all

@Ereee ah
That's life. We have to learn to flow with things and adapt, and if we can influence in any way then we should

David Drumlin: I know you must think this is all very unfair. Maybe that's an understatement. What you don't know is I agree. I wish the world was a place where fair was the bottom line, where the kind of idealism you showed at the hearing was rewarded, not taken advantage of. Unfortunately, we don't live in that world.

Ellie Arroway: Funny, I've always believed that the world is what we make of it.
