There seems to be fewer and fewer people my age on SW

Is that a sign that it’s time to close my account?

Nah... Don't be dramatic...
@HootyTheNightOwl But I didn’t use a single exclamation point! Nor a 😭 emoji
@Ghostinthemachine You're still being overly dramatic. It's not like you're hopping into bed with any of your SW friends - so why is age such an issue for you???
@HootyTheNightOwl I don’t know, maybe it’s not. Maybe I just look around and see fewer people like me here.

And I think using three question marks at the end of a question is being dramatic
@Ghostinthemachine I see quite a few older people still around here myself. Maybe not so much the same old faces - but older people nonetheless.

Meh... I've used three punctuation marks and emojis ever since I joined this cesspit - I don't see that changing any time soon. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
@HootyTheNightOwl Speaking of older faces, I like them. I don’t understand why someone would get plastic surgery for cosmetic reasons

Three shoulder shrug emojis? Three??
You’re outta control!!!
Please get your emotions in check😤😤😤
@Ghostinthemachine I agree... I see little reason for anyone to get plastic surgery beyond sustaining life altering injuries.

Here's another three for you... at your three exclamation points!!!🤣🤣🤣
@HootyTheNightOwl Even actors and actresses…I feel you can spot it a mile away and it looks so unnaturally smooth and tight

I’m going to de-escalate this situation!!
See?? I only used two 😉😉
@Ghostinthemachine I think celebrities have a greater responsibility to stay natural because of the fact that they are so impressionable to others - their appearance can push unnatural beliefs on how we should be looking onto other people.

I'm still sticking with my three, though... 🤣🤣🤣
@HootyTheNightOwl That’s a very good point, and I think that’s why I feel it’s wrong, because they are showing they feel the need to get it done in order to keep working. And you know what…maybe they are right

Oh boy…I’m very close to going to Defcon Four 😳😳😳😳
@Ghostinthemachine I guess in one way, there is a need to get it done... it makes sense that there could be pressure to look a certain way "because that's what society expects"???

Even if the public doesn't say "We only want to see people with black hair on TV", the managers/producers etc are piling on pressure for celebrities to look that way??? We know that it happens in modelling - so it's possible it could be industry wide like how bodybuilders are expected to look ridiculously muscular. 🤔🤔🤔

I'm still sticking with three... no more, no less... 🤣🤣🤣
@HootyTheNightOwl It’s one thing to change the colour of your hair to go with a trend, but altering one’s face to stay employed and meet audience expectations (or producers) doesn’t sit well with me.
Would Nicole Kidman not get any work because she looked her age? Maybe, but that wouldn’t stop me from seeing her in a movie

Sticking to your guns, eh? I can respect that 🙂🙃🙂
@Ghostinthemachine I get that was a poor example on my part - but I'm not going to Google it just to find the right spelling of a procedure that I'm not interested in myself.

I doubt that work would dry up if they don't look a certain way... I mean, most of us accept that teeth fall out and skin wrinkles with age. All someone has to do is challenge the industry on why they are using the practice.

Yup... I stick firmly to my guns - whether people like it or not... 🙂🤭🙂
