Was thinking today about the time my Dad sat me down very seriously and asked me if my friends and I were doing heroin.

His reasoning for this was because we were all pale, gaunt, up at night only and slept during the day and dressed in all black and listened to weird music.... No Dad we are just goths LOL He was convinced we were all on heroin. Remembering that made me chuckle today thinking about how people legit thought I was either a witch or on heroin back then.

I hope you were able to soothe his fears...when we were younger, it was like whatever....

As a parent, there is really nothing more frightening than the thought of losing a child to drugs...

I remember how freaked out my parents were with even the idea of consuming marijuana. Mom was a teacher and back then when kids were caught with a joint, the police were called.

Even decades later, after cannabis was legalized here, my folks just never stopped thinking that weed was somehow the path to ending up dead in an alley, a needle in one’s arm. 😎
