I Have Nostalgia For The Past

It’s too bad real life isn’t more like a late-60s/early-70s sitcom - like the Brady Bunch. The early 70s were a great time. I was a little girl. Life was simpler. There were more reasons for optimism. All week I’ve been thinking about my early childhood, and thinking maybe that really was the best part of my life.

Though I was born a few years later and grew up in the 70's and 80's, I can relate. I remember feeling a lot more optimistic back then too. Anything seemed possible, if we just kept working hard enough, long enough.

I can't say that my childhood was the best part of my life though. I think my late 20's and early 30's were better. I still hope that we can make things better, but I know that it's not going to be easy.

@TeresaRudolph71 I also liked college. And I liked my 40s. So there were some other good parts of my life, besides early childhood.

@SmartKat College was interesting, and fun at times. I hope there will be more good times to come, though the future does scare me a little.
