I Have Nostalgia For The Past

It’s too bad real life isn’t more like a late-60s/early-70s sitcom - like the Brady Bunch. The early 70s were a great time. I was a little girl. Life was simpler. There were more reasons for optimism. All week I’ve been thinking about my early childhood, and thinking maybe that really was the best part of my life.

We, the flower children of the 60's and beatniks before us in the late 40's and 50's. were the original DREAMERS! The only generation in time to come close to use was that of the first French Renaissance.

We, as youth, often as teens and slightly older, brought about much needed change and we forced courts and politicians to rethink their outdated ideas.

We were dreamers, first and foremost. We want and end to war-all wars in any nation. We wanted peace. World peace. We wanted love to rule the day and acceptance for all. We were eternal optimists-in me that has not changed! And many of my generation! We were activists who knew how to bring about change.

It was a generation, a feeling, a movement, and a time when the youth ruled the country that will never be repeated. Until the 4th French renaissance. Maybe.

It is WHY music of the 50 and 60's still remain so vital today!

Not much has changed since 1965. You better start swimmin’ or you’ll sink like a stone for The times-they are a-changing.
