I will always feel this way about my son. It hurts everyday and especially every morning as he is always my first thought.

@BamPow I'm so sorry that happened I can't even imagine losing a child

@Justmeraeagain Even in my worst nightmares, I couldn’t have fathomed how excruciating it is and continues to be. Under the circumstances, it is an endless poisonous loop of questioning everything you did as a parent even though I always land on knowing we were always here for him and did all we could. It’s something I hope nobody ever has to go through even though I know that others have and will.

Hope you and everyone can hang on to one thought: I loved him(her) and they loved me.
This simple thought has got me through a lot.
We all have regrets of course we could have did some things better and now we don't have the chance, but I loved him and he loved me.
You loved your child and they loved you.
It will of course not replace the person who's gone, but but knowing there was love, I think, is powerful.
