My dad loved this song and I remember one road trip where this and his Highwaymen tape played over and over. It drove me crazy but what I wouldn’t give to go back. I miss him so much

Feel for you. Willie Nelson always catches me more when I think of my father for how much he loved Willie. My father died many years ago, and I was without words, and sometimes you know in sibling relationships your older brother is going to be the one to give his eulogy. I asked if I could choose the songs for him.

I don't know how this happens, using a subscription service for music, when listening to another artist.. Tidal finds the very version of 'On the Road Again" I chose for his funeral. Also happening to be the anniversary week of when he died last week.

Healing takes time, and it can be crushing hurt for years, but it does come without losing your memories of him.
