How should I break the cycle of coming back every 3 months?

Whenever seasons change, I seem to crave seeing her again despite knowing that she meanwhile dated the second guy since things changed between us when I graduated from college. She didn't give me time enough to find a job and try my luck. But until today she appears mentally closer to me than to her (rather short-term) boyfriends.

@Ilena No I'm talking about an actual ex-crush of mine since she told me I was just something like a friend to her, after I asked her if she was still up for meeting sometime and she first said her boyfriend wouldn't like that. But I can tell that she's not the best with keeping boyfriends for long.
