I have to laugh when people in their thirties start saying they're old...

Unfortunately I do feel old. Mentally I've been through a lot. Physically after having my first child my body is really struggling with recovery.
I have a limp some days when the pain gets really bad, and a series of really bad situations postpartum it's left me with very little mental energy.

Sitting in silence has suddenly become a real pleasure.

I remember an installment from the comic strip "Blondie" from many years ago.

The neighbor kid, Elmo, is visiting Blondie and Dagwood, telling them that there was a farewell party at school for "Old Lady Johnson".

Dagwood asks, "How old is Old Lady Johnson?"

Elmo answers, "27".

And then, "Why is Mrs. Bumstead crying?"

Same. I suspect I thought I was back then, too.
It was relative, of course. But I know my 60 wasn’t like my grandmother’s (or even my mother’s) 60.

As we get older, the days last longer, but the years pass quicker…
