I Am Mad, Sad, Disappointed

Just when I thought something was going right for us. Yesterday we got a call from a big company in a city where I want to move to, where I would be closer to my family and also have a chance to get back into my career I miss. The call was from a recruiter, who said he would call today at 1130am, to discuss a possible job opportunity for my fiance. At 1230pm no call still, so my fiance called, and had to leave a message. We didn't hear anything back today. I'm getting so frustrated that we are never going to have the chance to have a normal life or start a family because we can not afford even the cost of living with both of us working full time jobs that we both hate.

Anyone in a HR job that can explain how long I should wait before giving up on this company. We will call again tomorrow afternoon, but still I'm frustrated and upset.
