Sorry for your loss. In 2014 @ the end of September my 13 yr old dog wandered off just before dark, I felt certain a neighbor let him in for the night. I put up flyers, a couple did bring him inside. He passed in his sleep. Not being there when he passed still hurts. Three months later I had to put my 15 yr old dog to sleep, it gave me much more closure. Follow each moment of sadness with knowing you were blessed for the years of unconditional love.

I hope his pup feels better. They really do feel pain and longing.

Somehow he managed to open the door
When I came back from job he wasn't in the living room
He was in the room
Where pop used to sleep
And he started crying when he saw me

I've seen it before. I had a young dog who almost greived himself to death. I didn't know what to do for him. Finally I put him to bed with me . I would give Jim stuff he had never had before like little bites of honey bun. He had only ever had dog food. And listened to music. Happy up beat dance music. After about 10 days his tail would wag whenever I said honey bun and he became a little arrogant about the bed. Lol.
Hope yours is better soon. Oh and try changing feeding locations. New everything. New time new routines. All things that don't remind him of his pops .

When you think of him he's with you. The rest of the time he's playing with the other angel doggies. My girl Dixie is there she'll hang with him.

My condolences, I know how hard it is. I lost my girl who was only 2 years old but she was like my therapy dog and nothing is ever going to take her spot in my heart

He's depressed too
He doesn't want to eat
Hope he feels better tomorrow
I guess he feels my pain
