I think I was more brave (or more stupid) as a young adult than I am now.

i had some serious goals. Nothing was gonna stop me. I was the youngest of 3 and first to graduate post secondary in my family and find a career that pays very well. To get through school I had an amazing part time job to pay for schooling all by myself. I bought a brand new car with said job at age 20. Bought my own place at 23 or 24.

Idk what happened to that person. Idk what made me think the world was unlimited and I could do what I wanted. I’ve become a lot more cautious as I’ve aged. I’m not sure it’s good or bad.

Agreed. Parenthood changed me quite a lot but before that I was slowly getting less daring due to me thinking work was more important than actually living life.

@PassingThrough I never became a parent prob cause I didn’t wanna take time off work or have complications working and having to rear children at the same time. Also I’m not fantastic at keeping track of myself never mind kids.

@DoubleRings trust me I understand that and you are very wise for knowing it’s too much to juggle

It's called learning and there's nothing wrong with that.
Being a bit cautious is probably a good trait but if you find you're not doing things you'd like to do just because you're anxious or scared and there are no real obstacles in your way,perhaps that is something to think about.

I know I was much more adventurous (read: Stupid) when younger. I still have the "oh what hell, let's give it a try" thoughts/attitude, I'm just too worn out to carry out those ideas. 😂 Probably a good thing.

Might have been cause of things you experienced as you grew older.

@DoubleRings well I'm already so pessimistic what if I keep getting more pessimistic with time
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
@00ro8 we’re doomed 😱
