I Have a Confession

I'm only writing this because I want everyone here to know the real me. I've written about my son before. Honestly, he isn't my son. He's actually my grandson. Because I'm 28, this is where people get confused. I'm in an age-gap relationship. My wife is 48. She has a daughter who's 23. Yes, it was awkward in the beginning, but that was eight years ago. Her daughter gave birth to a boy five years ago. Can you guess who raised him? Yep! His father is trash and hardly has anything to do with him, so I've gladly played the role. I cannot have children of my own, but he's all I need. To avoid confusion in the future, I'll continue referring to him as my son. Labels aren't important anyhow. We're family. Sure, it's not a traditional family, but family is more than just who you share your DNA with; it's who you love and care for.

Sometimes your forever family is not your biological family
That's very true. We're happy, and that's important.
